On Thursday, a small plane crash in a remote Michigan community resulted in the deaths of three individuals, as confirmed by local authorities.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. at the junction of Clark Road and Peacock Road in Bath Township, according to a statement from town officials. They provided further details in a public announcement.

News reporting showing black smoke billowing from the crash site, with "THREE DEAD IN PLANE CRASH CLINTON COUNTY" highlighted.
Three lives were lost in a plane crash in Michigan on Thursday.

Rescue teams confirmed that all three occupants of the aircraft were found and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Images sourced from local news report indicate a cloud of smoke and flames rising from the densely wooded area where the crash took place.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined, according to the town’s officials.

Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration have arrived on site to assist with the inquiry, authorities mentioned.

“PLEASE AVOID THE AREA of Peacock and Clark Rd. Emergency responders are managing an active situation,” a notice from Lansing Area Emergency Notifications was shared on Facebook.

The small town, which had a population of just 2,841 as per the 2020 Census data, is grappling with this tragic incident.

The FAA has yet to provide a comment in response to inquiries from The Post.
