Bowen Yang Makes Hilarious Appearance as George Santos on “Weekend Update”
Bowen Yang brought the laughs during his appearance as former U.S. congressman George Santos on “Saturday Night Live’s” “Weekend Update” segment.
Colin Jost introduced Santos as “the world’s number one marathoner” before he hilariously claimed to have already finished the New York City marathon, which was happening the following day.
Yang’s Santos, who had his prison sentence commuted by President Donald Trump for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft, joked about his time behind bars and his newfound wealth.
During the segment, Santos humorously claimed to have taken a trip to the Louvre and sported a large necklace that he jokingly said belonged to his ancestors, the Zales.
The “Weekend Update” segment also touched on Prince Andrew being stripped of his royal title, Trump’s White House bathroom model, Texas suing Tylenol, and Japan’s new prime minister nominating Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Overall, Yang’s portrayal of George Santos provided plenty of laughs and added to the comedic relief of the show.
