Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman are stepping down from their roles at Sony Pictures TV after leading the company’s nonfiction division for the past four years. In a memo to staff, Sony Pictures TV chairman Keith Le Goy announced their departure as they pursue their next entrepreneurial venture.

With Holzman and Saidman leaving, Katherine Pope, the president of Sony Pictures TV Studios, will now oversee the nonfiction division in addition to scripted and kids programming.

Holzman and Saidman joined Sony in 2022 as part of the company’s acquisition of Industrial Media, which included several production companies. Holzman, who was previously the CEO of Industrial Media and founder/CEO of IPC, and Saidman, who served as the president of Industrial Media and co-founder and president of IPC, were tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of Sony Pictures Television Nonfiction.

Pope, who joined Sony Pictures Television in August 2022, has been responsible for overseeing successful shows like “The Boys,” “The Last of Us,” “Twisted Metal,” and “Outlander.” She will now also lead the nonfiction division, with upcoming projects including “God of War,” “Spider-Noir,” “American Hostage,” and “S.W.A.T.: Exiles.”

In his memo to staff, Le Goy expressed gratitude for Holzman and Saidman’s contributions to the nonfiction division and highlighted Pope’s track record of bringing premium content to market.

Moving forward, Pope will integrate nonfiction under her leadership to align creative operations, foster collaboration across teams, and drive long-term value across the portfolio. The nonfiction division includes companies like Sharp Entertainment, Embassy Row, B17 Entertainment, and 19 Entertainment, known for producing hit series such as “American Idol” and the “90 Day FiancĂ©” franchise.
