Joe Jonas’ Post-Divorce Solo Album Gets Approval from Ex-Wife Sophie Turner
Joe Jonas’ latest solo album, titled Music for People Who Believe in Love, appears to have received the seal of approval from his ex-wife, Sophie Turner.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Saturday, May 24, Turner, 29, shared a Spotify link to the album with a supportive message for Jonas, 35, who released his second solo LP on May 23. The album features songs that reflect Jonas’ journey since his separation from Turner in 2023.
In an interview with Billboard in August 2024, Jonas opened up about the challenges and freedom he experienced while writing and singing about his personal life. He emphasized that the album is not meant to expose or criticize anyone but rather to express his happiness and growth through music.
The former couple, who were married for four years, finalized their divorce in September 2023, following a custody battle over their daughters, Willa and Delphine. They reached a settlement in September 2024, agreeing to share custody of their children who have dual citizenship in the United States and England.
Following their divorce, Jonas and Turner expressed their commitment to coparenting and ensuring that their daughters spend time in both the U.S. and the U.K. They highlighted the importance of maintaining a loving environment for the children despite their separation.
While Jonas has maintained a low profile regarding the breakup, Turner has been more vocal about the emotional toll it took on her. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she described the experience as “incredibly sad” and emphasized the importance of being back in London, where she feels most like herself.
Throughout their marriage, Turner split her time between Los Angeles and Miami with Jonas, but she expressed a sense of relief in returning to her roots in England to be with her friends and family.
