The S&P 500 experienced a decline for the first time in over a week as investors took a step back from the recent AI-driven market excitement.
The benchmark index dropped by 0.4%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a decrease of 92 points, or 0.2%. In addition, the Nasdaq Composite saw a 0.7% reduction.
The yield on the 2-year Treasury note fell to 3.57%, with the 10-year yield also decreasing to 4.13%.
