India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav recently took to social media to reveal his new hairstyle. The talented Mumbai cricketer had been absent from the early stages of the 2024 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) due to personal reasons but made a strong comeback in the latter part of the tournament.
In the final against Madhya Pradesh, Suryakumar played a crucial innings, scoring 48 runs to help Mumbai chase down 175 and secure their second SMAT title. Throughout the tournament, he accumulated a total of 132 runs in five innings, showcasing his batting prowess.
Taking a break from cricket, Suryakumar decided to flaunt his fresh look on Instagram, where he shared pictures with renowned hairstylist Aalim Khan, captioning the post with “Stay sharp, look sharper.”
As he gears up for his next challenge, Suryakumar will lead Mumbai in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, starting on December 21. In their opening match of the group stage, Mumbai will face Karnataka, and the squad for the first three matches includes the likes of Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, and Shardul Thakur.
While focusing on domestic cricket, Suryakumar recently captained India in the T20I series against South Africa, which they won 3-1. Despite a relatively quiet series with the bat, Suryakumar has an impressive T20I record, with 2,570 runs at an average of 40.79 and a strike rate of 167.86, including 21 fifties and four centuries. He has also led India in 17 T20I matches, winning 14 and losing three.
