The Kansas City Chiefs made a bold move in the 2025 NFL Draft by selecting Ohio State Buckeyes’ offensive lineman Josh Simmons with the 32nd overall pick. Despite suffering a torn patellar tendon in his knee last season, Simmons was still considered one of the top tackles in the draft. The Chiefs signed him to a four-year, fully guaranteed contract worth $14,675,353, and fans believe they got a steal of a pick.

Many NFL fans believe that if Simmons can fully recover from his injury, he has the potential to anchor the Chiefs’ offensive line for years to come. Some even suggest that the team could let Simmons rest for the entire 2025 season to ensure he is fully healthy and ready to start in 2026.

Before his injury, Simmons was considered a top prospect and was even in the running to be a top-10 pick. Despite his setback, he has been actively participating in the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp, focusing on mental reps and rehabbing his knee.

Simmons himself is determined to make a full recovery and contribute to the team when the time comes. He is taking his rehab seriously and is eager to be a valuable asset to the Chiefs once he is back on the field. The Chiefs currently have Jaylon Moore as their left tackle, but Simmons could potentially take over that role in the future.

Overall, fans are excited about the potential that Simmons brings to the team and are optimistic about his future with the Chiefs. With his work ethic and determination to overcome his injury, Simmons could prove to be a valuable asset to the team for years to come.
