The co-creator of “Stranger Things,” Ross Duffer, recently unveiled the runtimes for the final four episodes of the beloved series. Following the release of the first four episodes of Season 5 on November 26, fans can expect three more episodes on Christmas Day, with the series finale airing on New Year’s Eve.

Episode 5, titled “Shock Jock,” has a runtime of one hour and eight minutes, while Episode 6, “Escape from Camazotz,” will run for one hour and 15 minutes, as revealed in Duffer’s Instagram post. Episode 7, “The Bridge,” clocks in at one hour and six minutes, and the series finale, Episode 8 titled “The Rightside Up,” is the longest episode of the season at two hours and eight minutes.

Contrary to viral posts and rumors circulating on social media, the final episodes of Season 5 are similar in length to the first batch of episodes. Speculation that the entire season would range from 90 minutes to two hours was likely influenced by the longer runtimes of Season 4, where the episodes expanded to a 70-minute minimum, with the final three episodes being movie-length. The Season 4 finale, “The Piggyback,” ran for an impressive two hours and 22 minutes.

“Stranger Things” was created by Ross Duffer and his brother Matt Duffer. The Duffer brothers executive produce the series through their Upside Down Pictures banner, alongside Shawn Levy of 21 Laps Entertainment and Dan Cohen.

Fans of the show can look forward to the exciting conclusion of “Stranger Things” as the final episodes promise to deliver suspense, thrills, and closure to the beloved characters and storylines. Stay tuned for the epic finale on New Year’s Eve and prepare to be taken on a journey to the “Rightside Up” in the longest episode of the season.
