Man on Life Support After Violent Encounter in Times Square Subway Station

A 51-year-old man is fighting for his life after being punched and knocked to the ground during a dispute in the Times Square subway station. The incident occurred on the mezzanine for the N, Q, and R trains at the 42nd Street-Times Square station around 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to police sources, the victim got into a confrontation with another man, leading to a physical altercation. The situation escalated when the assailant punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. The victim was left with severe facial injuries and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition. He is currently on life support in the intensive care unit.

The attacker, described as a man with a dark complexion, wearing a gray polo shirt, blue jeans, and carrying a black backpack, fled the scene and remains at large. Police are actively searching for him to bring him to justice.

The motive behind the violent outburst is still unknown, and investigators are working to piece together the events leading up to the altercation. The victim’s family and authorities are hopeful for his recovery as he continues to receive medical care at the hospital.
