Singer D4vd could potentially face murder charges in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, as reported by TMZ. It is likely that prosecutors will take the case to a grand jury for further investigation.

Rivas’ body was discovered inside a Tesla registered to D4vd after the vehicle was towed from the Hollywood Hills area in September. The car had been abandoned on a hillside street and ticketed before being impounded. Employees at the impound lot reported a foul odor, leading to the tragic discovery of the teen’s remains.

Police later searched a Hollywood Hills rental home where the singer had been staying, seizing items including a laptop. It was revealed that D4vd had a known relationship with the victim. Initially cooperating with investigators, he later canceled tour dates as the probe intensified.

The involvement of a grand jury, possibly an “investigative” panel, could assist in gathering evidence. Witnesses, including D4vd’s day-to-day manager Robert Morgenroth, have testified before the grand jury. The proceedings may continue with additional witnesses in February, delaying any potential indictment.

In late December, a “burn cage” incinerator was found at the Hollywood Hills mansion D4vd was renting when Celeste’s body was discovered. Private investigator Steve Fischer, hired by the property owner, described finding tools typically used on farms that could potentially be used to dispose of a body.

The investigation revealed connections between D4vd and Celeste, including screenshots from a Discord fan server suggesting a relationship between the two. An unreleased song by D4vd referenced the name “Celeste,” aligning with information provided by the girl’s mother about her daughter dating someone named “David.”

Celeste Rivas, who had previously run away from home, was reported missing in April 2024 and her remains were found in September of the same year. The exact cause of death remains undetermined due to the advanced state of decomposition.

As the case continues to unfold, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has not yet received the case for review. Despite multiple attempts to reach D4vd and his team, there has been no response since September.

The tragic circumstances surrounding Celeste Rivas’ death and the potential involvement of D4vd in the case highlight the need for thorough investigation and justice for the young victim.
