A commuter on a J train in Queens was viciously attacked on Sunday afternoon, leaving him with injuries from being punched and slashed. The perpetrator of the random assault is still at large, according to authorities.

The 61-year-old victim was assaulted around 3:15 p.m. while riding a northbound train near the Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer station. The assailant approached him, striking him in the face and cutting his hand before fleeing the scene, as reported by the police.



The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in stable condition following the incident at Jamaica Center – Parsons/Archer station. Kevin C Downs for The New York Post
