Here’s your periodic reminder that The View continues to be a perplexing spectacle on television.
This week, amidst reports of violent attacks on ICE agents in both Texas and California, co-host Sunny Hostin suggested that those working for ICE are deserving of the “reckoning” she believes is imminent.
As you watch the clip below, consider the fact that this show is part of the ABC News division. It’s quite astonishing that they allow such portrayals to occur.

Sunny Hostin Claims CBP and ICE Deserve a Violent ‘Reckoning’
In a segment discussing the infamous Alligator Alcatraz, self-identified conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed fingers at President Trump for the surge in death threats targeting immigration enforcement officials. “What I am seeing is an uptick in rhetoric against CBP and ICE enforcers who are dealing with this problem because they’re being told by the President of the United States that they have to,” she expressed with concern…
Upon hearing this, Hostin quickly pivoted to imply that the agents brought this upon themselves by wearing masks:
If they conducted their duties in the manner I believe they should—without masks and without disappearing individuals from the streets—I doubt the public would feel as threatened. When someone approaches my undocumented loved one wearing a mask, how can I distinguish whether they are legitimate law enforcement or not? That’s one point I’ll make.
Her implications escalated as she stated, “In my world, if you conceal your identity because you wish to remain unseen… there will be a reckoning for some of the actions that genuine law enforcement has undertaken!”

Did you catch that? She audaciously stated, “If they would do their jobs the way that I think they should be doing their jobs…”
It might be time for ABC News to reconsider the continuation of this program. The toxicity is palpable.
