Paris Fashion Week has been nothing short of eventful with remarkable debuts—including Jonathan Anderson’s debut womenswear line for Dior, and the presentation by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at Loewe. The standout moment? Meghan Markle making her inaugural appearance at PFW.

The Duchess of Sussex journeyed from her home in Montecito to Paris for the monumental occasion of Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first show as creative director for Balenciaga. Captured stepping out of her hotel heading to the show, Markle looked sophisticated in an ensemble featuring a white cape paired with a silky button-up shirt, completing the elegant Balenciaga aesthetic. She wore sleek black pointed heels and her hair styled back in a smooth bun.

This appearance marks the Duchess’s debut at Paris Fashion Week. Although she has never attended the London or Milan segments of fashion month, she notably has connections to New York Fashion Week.

Markle first graced the front row at the Hervé Léger spring 2014 show, a time when she was a fan of vibrant wrap dresses. During her stint on Suits, she frequently attended NYFW shows featuring designers like Tory Burch, Peter Som, Wes Gordon, and Misha Nonoo. This evening, Meghan mingled with stars such as Anne Hathaway and Lauren Sánchez Bezos, all there to witness Piccioli’s collection for spring 2026.

This week has already been significant for her, as the royal has announced the expansion of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, with the release of a new Sauvignon Blanc. Additionally, Markle indicated the return of popular items from her line, including the apricot spread and orange marmalade.
