Suspicious Devices Found Outside NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s Residence
Two individuals have been apprehended after authorities discovered “suspicious devices” outside the residence of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
The New York Police Department confirmed the incident during an anti-Islam protest organized by conservative influencer Jake Lang near Gracie Mansion.
Photographs of one of the devices, described as ovular and wrapped in silver duct tape, were taken by onlookers at the scene.
Furthermore, images captured one person holding a smoking object and subsequently throwing it towards law enforcement officers. The individual was promptly detained by the NYPD.
It remains uncertain whether Mayor Mamdani or his wife, Rama Duwaji, were present during the event. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Mayor Mamdani, NYC’s first Muslim mayor, has encountered discrimination since announcing his candidacy for office. Radio host Sid Rosenberg recently issued an apology for derogatory remarks made towards Mamdani.
