The case of the missing Florida real estate tycoon’s wife, Suzanne Simpson, has taken a dark turn with new revelations from an affidavit. Brad Simpson, her husband, was reportedly seen driving with suspicious items the day after she vanished, including trash bags, a heavy-duty trash can, and a large item wrapped in a blue tarp.
Witnesses observed Brad with the questionable load shortly after he was seen purchasing cement and Clorox wipes on October 7th, the day following the last sighting of Suzanne. The couple was reportedly involved in a heated argument outside their Olmos Park home, followed by screams coming from the nearby woods.
On the morning after the alleged altercation, Brad dropped off one of their children at school before stopping at a Whataburger in Boerne. In the back of his truck, three white trash bags, a heavy-duty trash can, an ice chest, and a large, bulky item covered in a blue tarp were visible. A metal firewood rack was placed on top of the tarp to conceal its contents.
Subsequently, Brad visited a Home Depot where he purchased cement, trash bags, Clorox spray, and insect repellent. He then inquired about the nearest dump and turned off his cell phone intentionally. His truck was later seen leaving the dump with the trash bags missing, and he had changed into work boots.
Surveillance footage captured Brad washing his car at a gas station, with dried cement splashes near the rear compartment. A friend of Suzanne called Brad that night, inquiring about her whereabouts. Shortly after, both the friend and Brad contacted the police to report Suzanne missing.
The investigation uncovered disturbing details, including the discovery of three cellphones and a laptop from a burn pit at the couple’s home. Notes found on one of the phones indicated that Brad had assaulted Suzanne on multiple occasions. Furthermore, Suzanne had confided in her personal banker about Brad’s abusive behavior and had expressed concerns about her safety.
Brad’s interactions with his former business partner, James Cotter, also raised suspicions. Cotter was later arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Text messages between the two hinted at potential collaboration in concealing crucial information related to Suzanne’s disappearance.
Despite extensive search efforts, Suzanne’s body has not been found. Brad Simpson is currently held on a $5 million bond at the Bexar County jail, facing charges of murder. The case continues to unravel as authorities delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding Suzanne’s mysterious disappearance.
