In today’s world, thanks to advancements in modern medicine, people are living longer and more fulfilling lives. However, the representation of older adults in popular culture, especially on television, often falls short. While there are exceptions like “Grace and Frankie” and “Hacks,” ageism still prevails, pushing seniors to the sidelines. But fear not, as “The Good Place” creator Michael Schur has teamed up with Ted Danson once again for a delightful new comedy, “A Man on the Inside,” that challenges stereotypes and offers a fresh perspective on aging.
Based on Maite Alberdi’s Oscar-nominated documentary “The Mole Agent,” “A Man on the Inside” follows Charles (played by Danson), a retired widower leading a mundane life in San Francisco.
