The screenshot of the scene has racked up more than seven million views on X, leading to a notable increase in subscription cancellations.
“This is from a children’s cartoon on Netflix called Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. Since when has something like this been considered appropriate for children?!” questioned one user, illustrating a discord between viewer expectations and content creation.

Interestingly, this scene isnât an innovation of the current season. In fact, it was previously scrutinized during a Hungarian investigation in 2022.
As noted by Breitbart News, in 2022, Hungaryâs national media regulator looked into Netflix regarding Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The kiss scene raised eyebrows under Hungaryâs 2021 law, which restricts LGBT-themed content for children.
The National Media and Communications Authority (NMHH) of Hungary flagged the series, given its target audience includes children as young as seven.
This uproar is compounded by another Netflix childrenâs program, Dead End: Paranormal Park, which drew heightened scrutiny following Elon Muskâs announcement regarding his decision to cancel his subscription over it.
Hamish Steele, the creator of Dead End, faced backlash for delivering a tirade against the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, using harsh language and highlighting the showâs inclusion of transgender themesâall within a storyline aimed at seven-year-olds.

Musk tweeted, âCancel Netflix for the health of your kids,â shortly before the stock market opened on October 1. In that same time frame, Netflixâs stock (NFLX) experienced a decline. It started the day at approximately $1,175.49, closing at $1,170.90, then dropping further to $1,162.53 on October 2, and trading around $1,158.84 by midday on October 3.
This trend reflects a broader 1.4% dip in Netflix’s stock value, likely influenced by conservative subscribers opting to withdraw their financial support based on content decisions.
In light of this escalating discontent, Netflix has remained silent, but the growing chorus of criticism from both users and regulatory bodies may compel the streaming giant to reevaluate its content strategy.
