Tekashi 6ix9ine’s mother found herself in a terrifying situation when a group of masked burglars broke into the rapper’s Florida mansion and held her at gunpoint. The incident occurred while Tekashi 6ix9ine was live-streaming with recently arrested YouTuber Jack Doherty.
Surveillance footage obtained by TMZ captured the four gunmen dressed in all black as they entered the musician’s Palm Beach home through the garage and confronted his 60-year-old mother, Natividad Perez-Hernandez. The video shows her visibly shaken as she interacts with the robbers, with the family dog watching on.
One of the intruders remained with Perez-Hernandez throughout the robbery, ensuring she couldn’t call for help while the others ransacked the home in search of valuables. The robbers demanded cash and car keys, according to the Palm Beach Police Department.
Additional footage from outside the house shows one of the masked suspects escorting Perez-Hernandez outside before bringing her back in, along with the dog. Despite the police’s efforts to track down the gunmen with a K-9 unit, no arrests have been made, and it remains unclear if anything was stolen from the residence.
During the robbery, Tekashi 6ix9ine was live-streaming with Jack Doherty, who had been recently arrested in Miami for drug possession. The suspects are believed to have fled in a getaway vehicle, leaving authorities puzzled about what they may have taken.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, has faced numerous legal troubles, including admitting to violating his probation by punching a man who taunted him for cooperating with authorities in a racketeering case against his former gang. He also pleaded guilty to hiding drugs at his Florida mansion and was sentenced to two years in prison in 2019.
After serving part of his sentence, Hernandez was released early due to health concerns related to asthma. Despite his legal issues, he continues to make headlines, with this recent home invasion adding to the list of challenges he faces.
