Alice Temperley Unveils Resort Collection Focused on Signature Party Dresses
During a preview at her west London store, Alice Temperley expressed her admiration for a deep blue cut-out gown with a delicate gold leaf motif, stating that it was her favorite and the one she wished she could wear to the Serpentine Summer Party. This gown is part of Temperley’s brand-new resort collection, the first in several years, which is set to hit stores in November and December, just in time for the festive season.
Known for her exquisite party dresses, Temperley has been dressing celebrities like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller since the launch of her brand in 2000. The current collection includes a range of old favorites from the Heritage line, such as the sequined Filigree dress in silver and scarlet, as well as the crystal-embellished Celestial gown in a striking shade of red. These timeless designs continue to be in high demand, showcasing the brand’s enduring appeal. “They’re classic pieces that our clients keep coming back for,” Temperley explained.
While there are some day wear options in the collection, including popular velvet suiting, the focus remains on the brand’s signature eveningwear. The new designs stay true to Temperley’s established aesthetic, featuring ornate Art Deco-inspired gowns with sequin flowers, beaded slips and bodysuits, and a structured gold cloquĂ© dress inspired by 1940s Hollywood glamour. As Temperley approaches its 25th anniversary next season, the brand proves that longevity in the fashion industry doesn’t always require reinventing the wheel.
