Gary Woodland delivered a stellar performance on Saturday, March 28, carding a 5-under 65 to maintain his lead at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. With this score, the accomplished golfer stood at 18-under, holding a narrow one-shot advantage over Nicolai Højgaard after 54 holes.

The concluding round of the Texas Children’s Houston Open 2026 is set to begin on Sunday, March 29, at 8:20 a.m. ET. Garrick Higgo, Brice Garnett, and Luke Clanton will start from the first hole. Meanwhile, the leading group featuring Woodland, Hojgaard, and the defending champion Min Woo Lee will tee off at 12:55 p.m. ET as the final group.

Woodland is aiming for his first victory since the 2019 US Open amidst personal health challenges over recent years. In 2023, he underwent brain surgery due to a diagnosed brain lesion and recently disclosed his struggles with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The 41-year-old golfer aspires to find joy in securing a win at the Texas Children’s Houston Open this week. In contrast, Højgaard seeks his first PGA Tour victory, while Min Woo Lee aims to defend his title successfully at Memorial Park.
