Christopher and Raquelle Judge, a Texas couple, have admitted to defrauding numerous clients in a home-building scam amounting to almost $5 million. According to federal prosecutors, the duo engaged in a scheme between August 2020 and January 2023, offering custom architecture, construction, and interior design services that were never completed. The prosecutors also stated that Christopher falsely represented himself as an architect.

The United States Attorney’s Office disclosed that over 40 victims across six Northern District of Texas counties were affected, involving at least 24 different construction projects and resulting in a loss of approximately $4.8 million. Raquelle pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud on December 17, 2025, with a potential maximum sentence of five years in federal prison. On the other hand, Christopher pleaded guilty on December 30, 2025, to the same charge, facing up to 20 years behind bars.

The couple is scheduled for sentencing, with Raquelle’s hearing set for April 14 and Christopher’s for May 12. Additionally, they are expected to pay monetary fines, provide restitution to the victims, and adhere to supervised release terms. Homeowners who fell victim to the Judges’ scam shared their experiences, expressing initial satisfaction with the services before noticing discrepancies and poor workmanship in their projects.

One homeowner, Kristin Newman, recalled how Raquelle and Christopher presented themselves as a professional couple but later failed to deliver on their promises, resulting in unfinished and subpar work. Another homeowner, Lane Simmons, likened the couple’s pitch to that of Chip and Joanna Gaines but lamented the multiple code violations and shoddy construction work they encountered.

The Judges’ social media presence, which halted in 2021, showcased their lifestyle and promoted their business ventures. Despite their fraudulent activities, they previously shared content on YouTube advocating for new construction projects, emphasizing the benefits of moving into a brand-new home without the need for repairs.

In conclusion, the Judges’ guilty pleas shed light on the prevalence of scams in the home-building industry and serve as a cautionary tale for consumers to thoroughly vet contractors before embarking on construction projects. It is essential to conduct thorough research, verify credentials, and seek recommendations to avoid falling victim to similar fraudulent schemes. The world of technology is constantly evolving, with new advancements and innovations being made every day. One such advancement that has been making waves in recent years is the development of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, such as learning, reasoning, and self-correction. This technology has the potential to revolutionize industries across the board, from healthcare to finance to transportation.

One area where AI has shown great promise is in the field of healthcare. With the ability to analyze vast amounts of data quickly and accurately, AI can help doctors and researchers make more informed decisions when it comes to diagnosing and treating patients. For example, AI algorithms can sift through medical records and imaging scans to identify patterns and trends that may not be immediately apparent to the human eye. This can lead to earlier detection of diseases and more personalized treatment plans for patients.

In addition to improving patient care, AI can also help streamline administrative tasks within healthcare organizations. From scheduling appointments to processing insurance claims, AI can automate many of the day-to-day tasks that can be time-consuming and error-prone when done manually. This can free up healthcare professionals to focus on providing quality care to their patients and reduce the likelihood of costly mistakes.

Another industry that stands to benefit greatly from AI is finance. With the ability to analyze market trends and predict future outcomes with a high degree of accuracy, AI can help investors make better-informed decisions when it comes to managing their portfolios. AI can also help financial institutions detect fraudulent activities and reduce the risk of cyber attacks, ultimately leading to a more secure and efficient financial system.

AI is also poised to have a significant impact on the transportation industry. With the rise of autonomous vehicles, AI is playing a crucial role in making our roads safer and more efficient. AI algorithms can process data from sensors and cameras in real-time to navigate traffic, avoid collisions, and even predict potential hazards on the road. This technology has the potential to reduce the number of accidents caused by human error and improve overall traffic flow in urban areas.

As AI continues to advance and become more integrated into our daily lives, it is important to consider the ethical implications of this technology. From concerns about privacy and data security to questions about job displacement, there are many issues that need to be addressed as AI becomes more prevalent in society. However, with proper regulation and oversight, AI has the potential to bring about positive change in a wide range of industries, ultimately improving the way we live and work.
