Identity of Texas Dad’s Killer Concealed with Michael Myers Mask
Authorities investigating the murder of a Texas father on Halloween night in his Houston garage have revealed that the killer disguised their identity with a white Michael Myers mask.
The victim, identified as 38-year-old Eric Pait Jr., was tragically gunned down, adding to the family’s already existing trauma following the murder of his estranged wife, the mother of their three children, just over two months prior.
According to ABC13 Houston, neighbors reported seeing a figure in the iconic mask leaving the scene after the fatal shooting. Two of Pait’s children were present in the house at the time of the incident, fortunately unharmed.
Connected Cases
Further complicating the investigation is the unsolved murder of Carman Peterson, 37, who was also fatally shot inside an apartment in Houston on August 16. Investigators have identified Pait as a person of interest in Peterson’s case, suggesting a potential connection between the two incidents.
Authorities were alerted to the Halloween night shooting just before 11:30 p.m. by concerned neighbors and one of Pait’s children who dialed 911. The third child, a toddler, was fortunately not present at the time of the attack.
Motive Still Unknown
As investigators work to unravel the mystery behind Pait’s murder, a motive for the crime remains elusive. The use of the Michael Myers mask, popularized by the “Halloween” film series, adds a chilling layer to the already tragic events.
The community is left in shock as police continue their efforts to piece together the events leading to Pait’s untimely death, while also seeking justice for Carman Peterson and closure for both families affected by the senseless violence.
