A Texas Teen Escapes Kidnapping Attempt
A 13-year-old girl in Texas managed to escape a kidnapping attempt as she was walking to school, thanks to her quick thinking and bravery. The incident occurred on Monday morning as she was on her way to Central Middle School in Galveston.
According to the Galveston Police Department, the girl heard footsteps approaching from behind and was grabbed by a masked man. A struggle ensued, during which the teen bit her attacker twice and was able to break free. She immediately ran to the school and informed her teachers, who then contacted the authorities.
Fortunately, the girl was unharmed, and the police issued an alert to local medical facilities to be on the lookout for any potential patients.

The girl’s parents joined the police in retracing their daughter’s route from their apartment to the school. Security footage from a nearby business showed the girl walking with a man in a black shirt, blue jeans, and a ski mask following her.
Authorities released a video of the suspect in hopes of identifying him, but as of Wednesday afternoon, no arrests had been made.
