Former Texas Substitute Teacher and Boyfriend Arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography
A former Texas substitute teacher, Madison Paige Jones, 30, and her boyfriend, Zackery Dondlinger, 37, have been arrested for their involvement in inappropriate sexual contact with a child and possession of child pornography. Jones faces charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child sexual contact, and one count of possession of child pornography. She was taken into custody in Midlothian on Dec. 19 and is being held at the Ellis County Jail on a $90,000 bond.
Jones, who previously worked as a substitute teacher for the Midlothian Independent School District, did not commit the alleged crimes at district schools or involve any district students, according to police reports. The district confirmed that Jones had subbed four times within the past year, including one day at Heritage High School and three days at Baxter Elementary. After learning of her arrest, the district promptly terminated her employment and reported the incident to the Texas Education Agency.
Following Jones’s arrest, Dondlinger was also apprehended in Loving County on Dec. 23 and charged with sexual performance by a child. Authorities have not disclosed specific details about the suspects’ alleged crimes, as the case is still under investigation.
Police have confirmed that Jones and Dondlinger were in a dating relationship at the time of their arrests. The Midlothian Police Department acknowledged the assistance of various agencies, including the Ellis County Children’s Advocacy Center, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Office of the Attorney General’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit, in locating and apprehending Dondlinger.
