The ATS Team has recently appointed Nicola Griffiths as their Senior Vice President of Production, tapping into her wealth of experience from her previous role as head of production at Workerbee. Griffiths will be splitting her time between the U.S., U.K., and Portuguese offices of The ATS Team, reporting directly to the managing director and COO, Danny Sanz.
With a strong background in securing tax credits, managing international distributions, and handling budgets of up to ÂŁ6 million, Griffiths will be focusing on enhancing ATS’s slate of original intellectual property and collaborating on international formats with development and production executive, Shayna Waldman.
During her time at Workerbee, Griffiths oversaw the production of high-end unscripted programming such as NBC’s “Hot Wheels,” Netflix’s “Bear Hunt,” and the Channel 4/HBO Max series “The Bridge.”
In addition to developing their own intellectual property, ATS is also expanding their line production services by leveraging their extensive network of international TV production crews across North America, Southeast Asia, Europe, and Australia. These crews offer a range of services from local permitting to location scouting and set building, particularly for adventure and challenge formats.
Some of the notable projects that ATS has worked on include “Ultimate Beastmaster” for Netflix, “The Titan Games with Dwayne Johnson” for USA Network, and “Holey Moley” for ABC.
Griffiths expressed her excitement about joining The ATS Team, highlighting their track record of delivering world-class shows globally. She emphasized the company’s involvement in producing nearly 90 seasons of “Ninja Warrior” worldwide, showcasing their commitment to quality and production excellence. Griffiths aims to strengthen relationships with co-production partners, develop new original IP, and secure commissions for the company.
Sanz praised Griffiths’ appointment, recognizing her as one of the most experienced heads of department in the industry. He expressed his admiration for her work ethic and collaborative spirit, emphasizing the privilege of having her join The ATS Team following her tenure at Workerbee.
The addition of Nicola Griffiths to The ATS Team’s production team signifies a strategic move to enhance their capabilities and expand their reach in the entertainment industry. With her expertise and leadership, Griffiths is poised to contribute significantly to the company’s continued success in producing compelling and innovative content for global audiences.
