Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis are insisting on a written amendment to Trump’s IRS settlement that led to the weaponization fund. Without this change, Tillis stated he would block a quorum, forcing a delay. Republicans need every vote.
The controversy includes a 1/6 insurrectionist trust fund that Trump had proposed. Senator John Cornyn is adamant about eliminating this fund, requiring a written confirmation that the 1/6 fund is permanently discontinued.
