Their analysis pointed to Kamala Harris’s disappointing performance with key demographics, labeling the findings as ‘depressing.’
One participant went so far as to suggest that if Democrats don’t take meaningful action, they may as well be “rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.” Ouch, indeed.

Jon Favreau, a former aide to President Obama, expressed his dismay during a podcast episode last Friday regarding the recent data from the Democratic analytics firm Catalist. This data reveals how Kamala Harris fared poorly against Donald Trump in the 2024 election—a revelation that, while upsetting, was not entirely unexpected.
“Since November, we’ve cautioned against drawing definitive conclusions from exit polls alone, emphasizing the need to consult the more reliable data from sources like Catalist and Pew,” Favreau remarked. “Now that we have the Catalist data, the outcomes are as predictable as they are disheartening. Harris has notably lost ground among young voters and people of color—particularly young men of color. In fact, the only demographic where she gained traction was among married white women, and even that was marginal—just one percentage point.”
“Among so-called super voters—those who have participated in the last four elections—she performed only slightly better than Joe Biden. Yet, she has significantly lost support among irregular voters, those who have only participated in a few of the last four elections.
