Kristin Villanueva, known for her role in “The Pitt,” has expressed an interest in pursuing a career in producing.
At the 4th annual Filipino Forces event in Hollywood, Villanueva, who portrays Princess on the HBO series, shared her desire to expand her professional repertoire. “I’ve been an actress for nearly 20 years, and I’ve always wanted to learn how to produce,” she stated.
The event gathered prominent Filipinos from the fashion, entertainment, and tech industries. Among the attendees were Brandon Finn, actor from “Chief of War,” Januel Mercado, writer and director of Dreamworks Animation’s “Forgotten Island,” and Veejay Floresca, winner of “Project Runway” season 21.
The gathering also saw a reunion of “13 Reasons Why” stars Ross Butler and Timothy Granaderos.
R’Bonney Gabriel, a model, fashion designer, and Miss Universe winner, recently announced her participation in the upcoming season of “Project Runway.” She shared, “After 16 years of sewing and countless hours watching Project Runway, I knew it was time to step into the workroom. Designing has been my passion since childhood, and being part of this season is a dream come true.”
The new season is scheduled to debut on July 6 on Hulu. Gabriel also mentioned her recent move to Los Angeles, expressing her goal of growing her small fashion brand after 16 years of sewing experience.
The Filipino Forces Feast and Fiesta hosted the evening, with Sampa creating a unique culinary experience focused on Filipino flavors for the guests.

Established by Rembrandt Flores in 2023, Filipino Forces is an annual celebration held during AANHPI Heritage Month in May, showcasing Filipino excellence.
