A&E has announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated “Duck Dynasty: The Revival” set to air on Wednesday, May 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This revival comes after the once-popular series faced controversy back in 2014 when patriarch Phil Robertson made homophobic and racist remarks in a profile for GQ. This led to A&E suspending him, causing a backlash from right-wing pundits and a decline in ratings, eventually leading to the show’s end in 2017.

The official synopsis for the upcoming 10-episode revival reads: “As the family business expands beyond ducks, Willie and Korie Robertson bring their signature wit and down-home charm as they navigate the future of Duck Commander. They will also support their children through marriage, parenthood, and entrepreneurship, all while working to preserve their family legacy. However, Willie soon realizes that the next generation isn’t as ‘Robertson’ as he initially thought.”

The network has ordered two seasons totaling 20 episodes, indicating that there is more to come for fans of the show. During its peak in fall 2013, “Duck Dynasty” was averaging as much as 14.6 million viewers in Live+7 ratings.

The revival season is produced by Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios and Tread Lively Productions for A&E, who holds exclusive worldwide distribution rights for the show.

In other programming news, a new game show titled “Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?” is set to premiere on FOX Nation, hosted by Greg Gutfeld. The series will debut over a three-day window, with the first episode airing on May 12, followed by the subsequent two episodes on May 13 and 14. Contestants on the show were isolated from technology, including the internet, social media, television, and phones, and must compete to correctly identify news stories that occurred during their isolation period for a chance to win $50,000.

FOX Nation president, Lauren Petterson, expressed excitement for subscribers to have exclusive access to Greg Gutfeld’s game show debut, helping isolated Americans catch up on the headlines they missed during a tumultuous news cycle.

Additionally, Simon Helberg and Raegan Revord are set to guest star on the Season 3 finale of “Night Court.” Helberg will make a cameo appearance in a “Big Bang” reunion that could shake things up for Abby, played by Melissa Rauch. Revord will play a teenage runaway named Shelby who is determined to marry her soulmate. Marsha Warfield will also return to reprise her role as Roz from the original series.

Helberg is not only set to appear in “Night Court” but will also return for “Poker Face” Season 2 opposite Natasha Lyonne. He is currently in production for Jonathan Glatzer’s “The Audacity” for AMC alongside Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis.

Don’t miss the “Night Court” Season 3 finale airing on Tuesday, May 6 at 8:30 pm. ET/PT. Stay tuned for more exciting updates and developments in the world of television programming.
