Seattle is gearing up for an exciting weekend full of colorful events as Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience makes its return from October 16–19, 2025. This signature fall festival showcases the vibrant glass art scene in the Pacific Northwest, featuring over 100 events and more than 50 artists. With new exhibitions, exclusive studio tours, and a lineup of exciting events, it’s no wonder why the region is considered a leading hub for glass art in the US.

One of the highlights of the festival is the shuttle service provided by Tours Northwest, which will take visitors to private artist studios across Seattle, allowing them to meet the artists and experience their work up close. Additionally, there will be a variety of events and parties, including the official opening party at Chihuly Garden and Glass, the Pilchuck Block Party, and the Pilchuck Annual Auction and Gala.

For the first time ever, the Refract Glassblowing Film Festival will showcase films from the 2025 Glass Art Society conference at SIFF Cinema Uptown. Attendees can also enjoy exclusive tours, talks, and access to artist studios, such as a tour of Dale Chihuly’s private studio and hotshop, artist open studios across Seattle, and a guided walking tour of the city’s glass art scene.

New exhibitions at the festival include “During The Exposure: An Exhibition by Winifred Westergard,” “Petrichor in the Land of Falling Water,” and “Glass in Everett: A Window Exhibition of Glass Art,” featuring works from renowned glass artists displayed in storefront windows around Downtown Everett.

Live artist demonstrations will take place throughout the festival, including daily demos at Seattle Glassblowing Studio and Pratt Fine Arts Center, as well as an overview of kiln-formed glass at Pacific NW Glass Guild.
