In a recent video that has garnered attention, a white-haired man raises concerns about the influence of Donald Trump and RFK Jr. on the FDA and pharmaceutical companies. This video is part of a series of advertisements by The Agora, a company known for selling subscriptions to “natural health” newsletters and investment advice. Despite regulatory actions, The Agora continues to thrive by targeting vulnerable individuals with misleading information.

Moving on to the biotech sector, Immuneering, based in Cambridge, takes a unique approach to cancer treatment. Rather than aiming to eliminate cancer cells quickly, the company focuses on preventing cancer from being fatal to patients. Their experimental drug, atebimetinib, works by inhibiting the MEK pathway, crucial for tumor cell growth. Positive results from a phase 2 study in pancreatic cancer patients have boosted the company’s stock and market cap.

In the biotech and pharma space, Merck recently announced a $10 billion deal to acquire Verona Pharma, expanding its portfolio beyond Keytruda. Regeneron also received FDA approval for its antibody drug, Lynozyfic, to treat multiple myeloma patients.

Digital health startups have seen a steady flow of venture funding, with over $6.4 billion raised in the first half of 2025. Robotics startup Mendaera received FDA clearance for its handheld robotic system to enhance medical procedures, starting with urology.

In the public health sector, a lawsuit has been filed against the Department of Health and Human Services and Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over vaccine restrictions. Additionally, a rural hospital in Nebraska is closing its doors due to federal cuts in Medicaid funding.
