On April 25, Kate Middleton made a poignant solo appearance at the annual Anzac Day commemorations. Representing King Charles III, Catherine, Princess of Wales, participated in the memorial service by laying a wreath at the Cenotaph and attending the Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. Although she had attended this event twice before, this marked her first visit without company.
Kate adhered to her signature elegant style, choosing an all-navy outfit. She donned a custom navy coat by Sarah Burton for Givenchy, featuring strong shoulders, white arrow-like lapels, and a fitted waist, accented with a commemorative poppy. She also introduced a new accessory: a custom-made teardrop-shaped hat by Jane Taylor London, embellished with an oversized bow. Completing her ensemble were dark blue Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps and a DeMellier Nano Montreal bag, a brand she favors for its structured designs.

Kate’s jewelry choices were especially significant on this occasion. She wore a tanzanite pendant necklace from G. Collins & Sons, thought to be a gift from her husband, Prince William. This piece, first seen in March 2015 during a National Service of Commemoration for military operations in Afghanistan, showcases a pear-shaped tanzanite stone surrounded by diamonds and set in platinum. Over the years, she has paired this necklace with matching earrings on various occasions, including during a meeting with then-President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in 2016 in the UK.
