Former ‘The View’ Host Fired Before They Could Quit
After being fired from The View, Sherri Shepherd found herself reflecting on the unexpected turn of events. While she was able to joke about the situation, she also shared a more serious perspective during a recent episode of Sherri.
Recalling the moment she learned of her termination, Shepherd shared, “Firing is not necessarily a bad thing. It’s like when I got fired from The View, I was sitting in my dressing room, looking in the mirror, and feeling uncertain about the future. I had been a part of The View for seven years, and suddenly I was faced with a new reality.”
Despite the initial shock, Shepherd remembered a moment of clarity when she heard a soft, still voice asking, “Do you trust me?” This question ultimately led her on a new path filled with unexpected opportunities.
Shortly after her departure from The View, Shepherd landed a role in Kevin Hart’s film Ride Along, followed by an offer to star as the evil stepmother in a Broadway production of Cinderella alongside Keke Palmer. The actress found herself embracing a wave of new projects and exciting challenges.
Reflecting on her journey post-firing, Shepherd emphasized, “After they let me go, I never struggled to pay my bills. I continued to receive new opportunities and experiences.” She encouraged viewers to see moments of change as opportunities for growth and exploration, rather than setbacks.
