Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes are set to make a special appearance on the hit singing competition show, “The Voice,” as “mega mentors” for the upcoming Season 27 playoffs. The playoffs are scheduled to begin on April 28, and Crow and Rimes will be lending their expertise to help prepare the remaining contestants for their most important performances yet.
Crow will be working with coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael BublĂ©, while Rimes, who is a coach on the British and Australian versions of “The Voice,” will be teaming up with John Legend and Adam Levine. Each coach will have five artists on their team entering the playoffs, and Crow and Rimes will be there to assist the contestants in honing their skills and perfecting their performances.
Following the mentoring sessions, the coaches will have the difficult task of selecting two artists from their team to advance to the live shows. “The Voice” airs on NBC on Mondays at 8 p.m. and is available for streaming on Peacock the following day. The show, which has won four Emmy Awards, is the network’s most-watched alternative series.
Sheryl Crow, a nine-time Grammy winner and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, is known for hits like “All I Wanna Do” and “Soak Up the Sun.” With 35 million albums sold worldwide, Crow’s expertise will undoubtedly be valuable to the contestants. LeAnn Rimes, a two-time Grammy winner who has sold over 48 million units globally, became the youngest solo artist to win a Grammy at the age of 14. Her songs, including “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” and “How Do I Live,” have solidified her as a powerhouse in the music industry.
“The Voice” is produced by MGM Television and Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Warner Horizon and ITV Studios. Created by John de Mol, the show features an all-star lineup of executive producers including Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher, and Barry Poznick.
