Two other individuals, a 36-year-old male construction worker and a 68-year-old man fishing in the East River, were also killed in separate stabbings across Manhattan, according to police reports.

Rivera, a homeless man with a history of criminal offenses and mental health issues, reportedly admitted to the unprovoked stabbings that spanned the borough throughout the day.

This story is still unfolding. Stay tuned for further updates.
