Driven to integrate her designs into the DWR collection, Nobil tasked Mardahl with crafting an exceptionally memorable hosting experience. “The guidance we provided was minimal, but Helle transformed it into an expansive tablescape universe, enriching categories we hadn’t initially contemplated. These exquisite pieces not only fulfill their purpose but also offer visual delight,” he explains. Although this collection displays a more muted color palette than her primary offerings, it still embodies her signature whimsicality. “These items bring forth the extraordinary from the commonplace in our daily lives,” Nobil adds.

Mardahl shares this enthusiasm, stating, “Itās been delightful to approach this collaboration with a fresh perspective. We aimed to create pieces that are simpler than our usual designs, yet vibrant in their color accents.” The collection features an array of tableware, glassware, vases, candleholders, dishes, and three unique lighting options.
Even after all her years in design, Mardahl characterizes her creative process as profoundly organic. “Working with glass is enchanting; the outcomes are always a surprise,” she remarks. This unpredictability contributes to an engaging experience for customers. “When visitors step into our store in Copenhagen, they canāt help but smile, and I believe it’s due to the sensory magic of the glass,” she says.
The Helle Mardahl Collection debuts exclusively at DWR across North America, available online and showcased in select stores starting on October 14.
