As a teacher, the demands of the job can be overwhelming. The constant decision-making, energy output, and endless questions from students can leave educators feeling drained and exhausted. This was the experience of one kindergarten teacher who decided to track every question she was asked in a single day to see just how taxing it could be.

Using a thumb clicker counter, Miss Vela set out to tally every time someone called her name or posed a question throughout her school day. The results were eye-opening. Before the morning bell had even finished ringing, she had already clicked over 100 times. By 10:20 AM, her count had reached a staggering 196. Even after lunch and specials, the number continued to climb, ultimately reaching 627 by the end of the day.

The TikTok video documenting her experiment quickly gained attention from fellow teachers who could relate to the constant demands of the job. Comments poured in, with many expressing admiration for the dedication and hard work that teachers put in every day. The experiment served as a reminder of the challenges educators face and the importance of showing appreciation for their efforts.

So, the next time you encounter a teacher, consider offering a word of thanks or a small gesture of appreciation. Teaching is a demanding profession that requires constant energy and attention, as demonstrated by Miss Vela’s experiment. By recognizing the hard work and dedication of educators, we can show our support for those who play a vital role in shaping the future.
