Tia Mowry and her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict, have revised their custody arrangement for their two children.
According to new court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Friday, July 17, Mowry, 48, and Hardrict, 46, have agreed not to enter each other’s homes unless invited or for a scheduled custody exchange. (TMZ first reported this news.)
The documents specify that Mowry will allow Hardrict to spend time with their son Cree, 15, and daughter Cairo, 8, during her custody period, provided he spends time “with both minor children.” Hardrict has agreed to drop the children off to Mowry by 9 p.m. during custody exchanges. (Neither Mowry nor Hardrict has commented on these changes. Us has reached out for their comments.)
The couple separated in 2022 after 18 years of marriage and finalized their divorce in April 2023, with joint physical and legal custody of Cree and Cairo.
Since their separation, the actors have emphasized the importance of co-parenting amicably.
“It’s all about considering everything from not just your perspective, but the kids’ perspective as well,” Mowry shared exclusively with Us in November 2023. “I feel like that’s where kids definitely become a priority and focus on their peace, their joy, their happiness, and what makes them feel at ease and feel comfortable and love.”
She added, “I’m really leaning on love and compassion. If you move through life, no matter what it is that you’re doing, through love and compassion, I truly believe that everything will fall into place the way that it’s supposed to.”
As she navigated co-parenting, Mowry also told Us that she was entering a “new chapter” of her life.
“I’m here, and that’s the other thing that I’ve learned too is I’m just more present. I’m not really thinking too much in the past. I’m not thinking too much [about] the future,” she said. “I’m just all about now, which has given me joy.”
Hardrict, meanwhile, has emphasized that Cree and Cairo are his top priority.
“If you really love your children, you won’t get involved in the noise or the mess,” he stated during an April 2025 appearance on Sherri. “I make sure I always think about them first. I put myself last. So, if you do that, you’re gonna avoid the mess, right? It’s not mess in regards to the situation, it’s just what people create, like narratives. Because no one knows nothing.”
