Tiger Woods’ private jet was observed landing in Switzerland on Friday, April 3, while he is dealing with a DUI arrest and has recently sought permission for treatment abroad.

USA Today reported that it remains unclear whether Woods was aboard the plane.

On April 1, a judge granted Woods’ request to travel outside the U.S. for treatment purposes.

According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Wednesday, Woods’ attorney, Douglas Duncan, stated that the golfer urgently requires a level of care that is not available in the United States.

Duncan further argued that ongoing medical scrutiny and public attention significantly hinder Woods’ recovery and could cause setbacks, preventing him from fully engaging in treatment.

Woods, 50, was detained on March 27 in Florida following a rollover car crash. He faces charges of DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test.

Authorities noted that Woods declined a urinalysis test at the scene but agreed to a breathalyzer test, which showed a reading of triple zeros, indicating he was not under the influence of alcohol. Instead, authorities suspect drug influence.

Documents obtained by Us Weekly revealed that Woods had two hydrocodone pills in his pocket and appeared lethargic, with bloodshot, glassy eyes and extremely dilated pupils.

On March 31, Woods entered a “not guilty” plea and simultaneously announced his decision to seek treatment, though he did not specify the nature of the treatment.

In a statement posted via X on March 31, Woods expressed his awareness of the gravity of his situation, stating, “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

He further stated, “I’ve committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones, and myself at this time.”

On April 2, Us released bodycam footage from Woods’ arrest. The video depicts a police officer questioning Woods about alcohol consumption and medications before subjecting him to several tests.

The footage suggests Woods did not perform to the officer’s satisfaction in the tests.

The officer then handcuffed Woods, stating, “At this time, I do believe your normal faculties are impaired and you’re under an unknown substance, so at this time, you are under arrest for DUI.”
