Tim Burton had nothing but praise for Lady Gaga as he attended the premiere of “Wednesday” Season 2 in London. Despite Gaga’s absence due to her ongoing tour, Burton expressed his admiration for the multi-talented artist, calling her work on the Netflix series “inspirational.” Gaga will guest star on the show as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday. Joining the cast are new faces such as Steve Buscemi as principal Barry Dort and Joanna Lumley as Wednesday’s grandmother.

Burton shared his experience working with Gaga, Steve, and Joanna, stating that having artists on set is a source of inspiration for him. He hinted at a possible future collaboration with Gaga, teasing that they have already worked on something together. When asked for details, Burton remained tight-lipped but expressed his hope for future projects with Gaga.

In terms of what sets “Wednesday” Season 2 apart from the first season, Burton emphasized the focus on the Addams family dynamics. The season delves deeper into the relationships between Wednesday, her mother, Morticia, and her mother, exploring the eccentricities of the family dynamic. Burton remarked that no family is truly “normal,” and the show aims to showcase the uniqueness of the Addams family.

Despite the early renewal for Season 3, Burton’s main focus remains on Season 2, which will be released in two parts on Aug. 6 and Sept. 3. He mentioned that work on Season 3 is ongoing but that he is currently finishing up the final touches on Season 2 episodes.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Morticia, also shared her excitement about the evolution of her character in the upcoming season. She highlighted Morticia’s expanded role and the complex dynamics she shares with Wednesday and her mother. Zeta-Jones expressed gratitude for the opportunity to delve deeper into Morticia’s character, describing the experience as “lush” and filled with nuances.
