Matteo Tamburini Unveils Tod’s Fall Collection at Villa Necchi Campiglio
Matteo Tamburini made quite the statement at today’s presentation, showcasing Tod’s latest fall lineup at the iconic Villa Necchi Campiglio. Dressed in head-to-toe Tod’s attire, Tamburini exuded a cool formal-meets-casual look that perfectly embodied the brand’s ethos.
Clad in a soft-structured gray flannel blazer, a fine cashmere jumper, and relaxed beige chinos, Tamburini effortlessly paired his ensemble with Gommino suede moccasins, showcasing his impeccable sense of style. Completing the look with his signature baseball cap, Tamburini exuded a sense of intentional yet laid-back sophistication.
The fall collection featured a touch more formality than usual, with a focus on luxe tactility and understated elegance. Tamburini emphasized a “quotidian, lived-in way of dressing,” showcasing pieces that exuded a sense of refinement without being overtly flashy.
From a padded piumino crafted from smooth matte silk to a jacket made from extra-light double cashmere, each piece in the collection was a testament to Tod’s commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Pashmy leather, a soft suede-like material with pashmina aspirations, was expertly tailored into a straight jacket, paired flawlessly with denim.
“It’s about equilibrium, not showing off,” Tamburini explained. The collection favored restraint over spectacle, allowing the materials, cut, and construction details to speak for themselves. Tamburini emphasized that the clothes were designed to command attention and relevance on their own terms, rather than through flashy embellishments.
