Harry Styles has finally addressed the criticism surrounding queerbaiting during his recent opening monologue on “Saturday Night Live.” The pop star, who last hosted the show in 2019, took the opportunity to set the record straight.

During his monologue, Styles mentioned the accusations of queerbaiting that he faced in the past. He humorously challenged the audience’s assumptions about him, asking if they truly know everything about him. He then shifted the focus to his time off, revealing that he had been pursuing hobbies like running and working on his new album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.”

The singer added a touch of humor by joking about the inspiration behind his album title, claiming he used an AI prompt to generate the “most Italian phrase to ever exist.” Styles playfully pronounced the album’s name in an exaggerated Italian accent, adding to the light-hearted atmosphere of the monologue.

Further adding to the comedic tone, Styles engaged in playful banter with female cast members who made advances towards him, all of which he amusingly denied. However, when cast member Ben Marshall approached him, Styles took the opportunity to humorously quip, “Or if you have a tight little bum!” before going in for a kiss, jokingly labeling it as true queerbaiting.

This marks Styles’ second time hosting and performing on “Saturday Night Live,” having previously appeared on the show in 2019. Fans can expect to hear tracks from his new album during his musical performances on the show, which was released last week.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Styles recently made a guest appearance during Ryan Gosling’s hosting gig on the show. The singer continues to showcase his versatility and sense of humor through his appearances on the iconic sketch comedy series.

Overall, Styles’ opening monologue on “Saturday Night Live” not only addressed the queerbaiting criticism but also highlighted his comedic timing and playful personality. Fans can look forward to seeing more of Styles’ entertaining performances in the future.
