LA Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman recently arrived in Tokyo for the upcoming Tokyo Series against the Chicago Cubs, and he brought his eldest son, Charlie, along with him. The father-son duo made quite the impression with their stylish outfits at the Tokyo International Airport as they landed in Japan on Wednesday.
Freeman shared two photos of their journey to Tokyo. In the first photo, they were seen walking on the airport runway after disembarking from their charter. The second photo captured them having a fun time inside the charter. Both Freddie and Charlie were dressed in cool, travel-ready outfits. Freddie opted for a sleek and casual look, sporting a gray Nike tracksuit with a zip-up hoodie and matching joggers, paired with white sneakers and a black backpack.
Charlie mirrored his dad’s style, wearing a gray hoodie and sweatpants, along with a colorful cap featuring shades of blue, black, and red. He accessorized with a chain necklace and black-and-white sneakers. Freeman’s wife, Chelsea, reshared the photos on her social media, expressing how Charlie was living the dream of traveling to Tokyo with his dad.
It seems that Chelsea and their other two sons, Brandon John and Max, did not accompany Freeman and Charlie to Japan. However, Chelsea recently shared highlights from their visit to the Dodgers’ spring training facility in Glendale, Arizona, where they watched a game against the Cleveland Guardians. Despite the Dodgers winning the game 10-4, Freeman went hitless in three plate appearances.
Off the field, Chelsea shared glimpses of their gameday, including photos of herself twinning with her three sons and enjoying hotdogs while watching the game. She captioned the post, “Baseball = AKA a day of hot dogs and cheering on Dad. 🌭⚾️❤️” It is likely that Chelsea will be cheering for Freeman from home as the Dodgers take on the Cubs in the two-game series at Tokyo Dome.
The Freeman family’s adventures in Tokyo and Arizona showcase their love for baseball and the bond they share as a family. As Freeman and Charlie enjoy their time in Japan, Chelsea and the other boys continue to support them from afar. The photos and updates shared by Chelsea give fans a glimpse into the life of a baseball family, filled with love, support, and fun-filled moments both on and off the field.
