Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan to Star in New Paramount+ Series

UPDATED: In some exciting news, it has been officially confirmed that Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan have all signed on to star in a new series for Paramount+. The show is being created by renowned filmmaker Guy Ritchie and writer Ronan Bennett.

Initially known as “The Donovans,” the project was intended to be a spin-off of the popular Showtime series “Ray Donovan.” However, it has since been reimagined as a standalone series with a new direction. The show, previously referred to as “The Associate,” is currently in production in London and is set to premiere on Paramount+ in 2025, in partnership with Showtime.

The series will follow two rival families in London with global connections, as well as a dedicated “fixer” tasked with protecting one of the families at all costs.

The stellar cast includes Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a mediator for the Harrigan family; Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan, the head of the Irish crime family; and Helen Mirren as Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and matriarch of the family.

Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, expressed his excitement about the project, praising the talent involved and the creative team led by Guy Ritchie, Jez Butterworth, and Ronan Bennett.

The one-hour gangster drama is a collaboration between Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and a team of seasoned producers and creatives. The series is written by Ronan Bennett, with Guy Ritchie serving as director and executive producer.

Paramount+ executive vice president of programming Jeff Grossman highlighted the high-caliber acting, compelling storylines, and top-notch production values that viewers can expect from the upcoming series.

Ronan Bennett, known for creating the acclaimed series “Top Boy” and writing several novels and screenplays, brings his expertise to this new project. Guy Ritchie, with a track record of successful films and television shows, is set to deliver another thrilling series following the success of “The Gentlemen.”

With a powerhouse cast and a talented creative team behind the scenes, this new Paramount+ series is sure to captivate audiences with its gripping storyline and exceptional performances.
