British actor Martin Bobb-Semple has recently signed with CAA after landing a leading role in the highly anticipated “Tomb Raider” live-action series at Amazon MGM Studios. Bobb-Semple gained recognition for his role as Orlando “Lando” Johnson in “All American: Homecoming” and has also starred in Peacock’s “One of Us is Lying” and Netflix’s “Free Reign.”
The upcoming “Tomb Raider” series, currently in production, is expected to elevate Bobb-Semple’s career to new heights. He will be portraying Zip, a key ally and trusted tech support to Sophie Turner’s Lara Croft. In the games, Zip assists Croft by providing crucial information during her quests from the security room in Croft Manor.
Bobb-Semple’s name was prominently featured in the cast lineup announcement, alongside stars like Jason Isaacs and Bill Paterson. The series, created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will also feature actors like Sigourney Weaver, Celia Imrie, Jack Bannon, and John Hefferman.
The actor made his debut in London’s West End production of “Oliver Twist” before training at the Identity School of Acting and landing his first TV role at the BBC. He will continue to be represented by Femi Oguns and Ikki El-Amriti at Identity Agency Group (IAG) in the U.K.
