Florida Man Arrested for Road Rage Incident
A Florida man with a history of legal troubles found himself in hot water once again after a road rage incident that escalated into a dangerous confrontation. Blackie Alvarez, a 34-year-old from Bonifay, Florida, was arrested for pointing a gun at another driver on Highway 331 in DeFuniak Springs.
The chaotic scene unfolded when Alvarez aggressively drove his Ford Explorer up to a car he was honking at before cutting it off and brandishing a weapon at the occupants, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
Alvarez, who was already wanted for skipping out on child support, was quickly apprehended by authorities. He was found with a black handgun and metal knuckles in his possession. The suspect, who refused to cooperate with law enforcement, was photographed in an orange prison uniform, showcasing his tattooed face and chest along with his toothless grin.
Charges against Alvarez included false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, firearm possession by a convicted felon, unlawful carry of a concealed weapon, and driving without a license. He was also wanted on a warrant for failing to pay child support in Bay County.
Alvarez is currently being held at Walton County Jail on a bond of $235,000.
