There weren’t any major upsets over the weekend, but there were some surprising results in the sports world. However, the real shocker came in the Serengeti this morning. A pride of lions encountered a daring warthog and were outwitted in a thrilling chase.

While Canterbury managed to secure a victory against the Stags, Otago suffered a crushing defeat to Counties. Southland and Otago are facing tough challenges to make it to the top eight.

Waikato’s unexpected win over the Magpies and Tasman’s unbeaten streak have shaken up the rugby scene. Meanwhile, in the local tipping competition, Simon from GJs struggled for the second week in a row while Grant from Carpets and Drapes surged ahead in the standings.

Looking ahead to the upcoming matches, Taranaki may have the edge over Hawke’s Bay, while North Harbour is expected to triumph over the Taniwha. Canterbury will face a tough challenge from Counties, and Wellington will look to bounce back against BOP.

Waikato will host Tasman in a highly anticipated match, while Auckland takes on the Stags in what promises to be a thrilling encounter. Otago will need a bonus point win against Manawatu to keep their season alive.

In the midweek fixture, Taranaki and North Harbour will battle it out in a close match. Good luck to all the tipsters!
