Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos are set to make their return to “Chicago P.D.” for an exciting three-part crossover event with “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med” on March 4th, airing on NBC. Spiridakos will reprise her role as Special Agent Hailey Upton, who returns to Chicago on a federal level as an FBI agent. She teams up with her former colleagues from the P.D. after a drug enforcement task force case brings her back to the city. On the other hand, Soffer’s character Jay Halstead has been deep undercover and finds himself on the same case that Upton is investigating.
Soffer last appeared in an episode in October 2022, while Spiridakos exited the show in May 2024. Both actors have expressed their desire to return to the show, with Soffer mentioning that Halstead will always be a part of him. The upcoming crossover event promises high-stakes drama as Firehouse 51 is called to an airfield where a passenger jet experiences a sudden emergency, leading to a larger mystery with potentially deadly consequences.
The crossover event will kick off with “Chicago Fire” at 8 p.m., followed by “Chicago Med” at 9 p.m., and concluding with “Chicago P.D.” at 10 p.m. Universal Television produces the One Chicago series in association with Wolf Entertainment, with “Chicago P.D.” executive produced by Dick Wolf, Peter Jankowski, Gwen Sigan, Chad Saxton, Gavin Harris, and Jason Beghe.
