President Trump criticized Hollywood director Rob Reiner, who tragically passed away along with his wife in what officials are investigating as a homicide. Their 32-year-old son, Nick, has been arrested.
Reiner, a vocal Trump critic and prominent Democratic Party supporter, was portrayed negatively by Trump in a post on Truth Social, where Trump attributed their deaths to “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

Trump’s further comments about Reiner’s “raging obsession” with him and the “Golden Age of America” drew criticism from various quarters, including former President Obama.
Tributes for Reiner started pouring in, with details emerging about the family tragedy and the son’s history of addiction that inspired the movie “Being Charlie.”
Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene criticized Trump’s comments, emphasizing that the incident was a family tragedy, not a political matter.
Rob Reiner and his wife were tragically killed at the hands of their own son, who reportedly had drug addiction and other issues, and their remaining children are left in serious mourning and heartbreak.
This is a family tragedy, not about politics or political enemies.
