Trump Plans to Host Massive UFC Fight Night at White House
President Trump had previously announced his intention to host a UFC fight night at the White House on his birthday next June 14. Now, details are emerging about the plans to make this event a reality.
The event is shaping up to be a family affair, with Ivanka Trump, who holds a blue belt in jiu-jitsu, expected to play a key role in the planning, according to a report. The event will feature a massive arena set up on the South Lawn of the White House complex, with a giant UFC steel cage mat as the centerpiece.
Originally, there were plans for an arena that could seat up to 20,000 people, but the final setup will accommodate around 5,000 spectators. The town will be buzzing with excitement, as weigh-ins will take place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, a jumbo screen will be installed on the Ellipse for viewers, and an evening laser and firework show will cap off the festivities.
In addition to the main event, fans will have the opportunity to participate in autograph-signing sessions and test their skills on punching bags at the National Mall. Reports suggest that fighters may even have the chance to warm up at the White House before the matches.
